What You Can Customize
Every ChokeSports belt can be personalized with premium Isami embroidery. You may add embroidery on either end of the belt, using Japanese characters or English letters.
Belt Position: Side A vs. Side B
When the belt is tied:
Side A sits over your right leg.
Side B sits over your left leg.
If you add a rank bar or degrees, these are always placed on Side B by default.
Embroidery Size & Character Limit
We reserve 20 cm / 8 in on each belt end for embroidery.
Standard character height: 2.5 cm / 1 in
Fits up to 8 characters comfortably
If your request is longer, we reduce character size so the full text fits within the 20 cm limit
If you request two lines of embroidery, each character will be about 1.5 cm / 0.6 in.
Orientation: Vertical or Horizontal
Choosing the right orientation ensures the embroidery looks correct when worn.
Japanese characters
Traditionally embroidered vertically, top to bottom.
English characters
Can be vertical or horizontal.
Font Script looks best in horizontal direction.
Horizontal orientation rules
To read correctly when the belt is tied:
Side A (right leg): bottom-to-top
Side B (left leg): top-to-bottom
Japanese Translations
We specialize in authentic Japanese embroideries in Kanji, Katakana, and Hiragana.
Foreign names are always translated to Katakana, which reproduces the sound.
Initials are not available in Japanese and will be embroidered in English.
If you already know the exact Japanese characters, you can type them when ordering.
If you need a translation (e.g., “Courage” or “Mike”), our team will translate it free of charge. You may specify pronunciation in the comments.
Embroidery Colors
You can choose from 22 color options, including metallic gold, light gold, and silver.
Choose a look that stands out (e.g., brown belt with orange embroidery) or something more subtle (e.g., black belt with black embroidery).
Integrated vs. Non-Integrated Embroidery
Made-to-Order belts — Integrated embroidery
We embroider the fabric before the belt is constructed.
Most premium and durable method.
No trail on the backside; stitch lines run over the embroidery.
Pre-Made belts — Non-integrated embroidery
Added after the belt is already made.
The reverse side will show an embroidery trail.
